Portal Nameless tower

During the absence of people in the Mortuary, a tall unfinished tower appeared. None of those who were in the city before the disaster, remembered anything of the kind which made the structure even more terrifying and attracted desperate adventurers and explorers.

For those who returned to the Mortuary, the tower became a sacred symbol. A cult formed around it, the followers of which decided to settle right there — in the abandoned buildings. Most likely, it was they who unearthed one of the mounds at the foot of the Tower, exposing the dilapidated dome, and in its center, a forgotten reactor started working with renewed vigor. A lot of gloomy rumours were born around it. Someone says that only thanks to this the city eventually turned green again, and the deadly anomaly disappeared. Others claim that the reactor is not so harmless, and it works on human sacrifice. Therefore, the price of the revival of life in the region is too high. And some lunatics believed that the reactor fed the Nameless Tower, allowing it to grow higher and higher.

Of all the variety of crazy ideas, the latter most often circulates around the Valley. It's also supported by cultists, proudly referring to themselves as Skygazers. They believe that human lives are needed to maintain the reactor, and wait patiently until the blood-soaked Tower continues to creep higher. According to their legend, when the monumental structure finally reaches the sky, they can all climb it and watch from the clouds as the Sepulchre, and with it the rest of the world are once again overwhelmed by the anomaly. But it's much, much more deadly.

But now, when the terirfying city finally became partially accessible to the wasteland raiders, many survivors rushed there in search of the remaining valuables. It is not surprising that the mystery of the Tower particularly draws their attention.

The Legend of the Tower[]

It is said that the first raiders who visited the Mortuary and saw the Tower with their own eyes were the people of ‘Black Bull’ Bill. But they had a reason for penetrating the depths of the dead city. The gang followed the tracks left by Kelly Grace and her pink Cadillac. Ah, Kelly, the reigning beauty of the Wasteland. The gold of her curls. The shining of her eyes. The haughty beauty fled from her settlement, and the Black Bull accepted a handful of coins to bring her back.

Her tracks led his gang directly to the foot of the Tower. The girl went inside, and the Bull followed her with a couple of friends. The remaining raiders waited three days and three nights at the foot of the tower. But only Bill returned from the Tower. His eyes were insane. His speech indistinct.

According to him, the tracks led them to the center of the Tower to a steel vertical staircase that went straight to the skies. Long did they climb it. Everyone who walked with him fell and died. And only he, the Black Bull, was able to climb to the flat top. The girl was not there. Only at the edge of the platform did he see a piece of the hem of her dress, clinging to the old fittings remaining from the scaffolding.

There, from the top of the Tower, Bill saw a city flooded with night lights. Streets full of cars and people. The world as it was before the disaster.

We do not know how much time he actually spent on the top and how he went downstairs. According to him, it was an eternity. They say that later he became a hermit and lived on the edge of the Wasteland alone for a long time.
