1947 A.D. - 1969 A.D.[]
The negotiations fail, and as a result, several of Nieri's representatives are captured along with a small shuttle. The fact of contact with an alien civilization is classified. Research begins on captured samples of alien technology and the representatives of the race themselves.
1969 A.D. - 2011 A.D.[]
From the captured Nieri, a limited circle of people learns about the Guardians and their method of achieving immortality. In September 1969, the corporation “Waderkvarn” was created, one of the goals of which is to study the possibilities of preserving the already human consciousness in a digital form and then moving it into a longer-lived carrier. The development of an AI capable of performing this task begins - the Oracle. The first experiments are based on the knowledge of aliens, obtained as a result of thousands of years of research on the human genome. People also learn about an alien piece of code in DNA and a device that can activate it. It is contained aboard the Nyeri aircraft. After a long search, the device was shot down in the Middle East in 2011.
2011 A.D. - 2027 A.D.[]
Many samples of alien technologies fall into the hands of people. On their basis, weapons are rapidly being developed - plasma cannons, lasers, railguns, hovers. There is a fear of a retaliatory attack. Part of the downed vehicle is transported to the laboratory “Waderkvarn” in the central part of Hungary. Also, many parts end up on the black market, where they are quickly snapped up by governments and large corporations. The Neon Dragon Syndicate - one of the main competitors of Waderkvarn, manages to become the largest beneficiary. The main developments are carried out in one of the branches of the organization in Eastern Europe. Based on alien technology, they are beginning to develop advanced implants that can communicate directly with the brain.
Meanwhile, Oracle's development is accelerating. The first half of the project is coming to an end - within the framework of work on immortality for people, a technology for extracting consciousness appears and is successfully applied in practice. The AI module that controls this process is called the Ravager. The first “Lost” people appear.
The signaling device is damaged after falling. A suit and mask are being developed to protect against signal effects if activated. However, the captured Nieri' manages to convince the leadership of “Waderkvarn” that the device may contain technologies for recording consciousness into a carrier that can make people immortal, following the example of the Guardians. The corporation's scientists are secretly working to restore it. It ends in disaster - in 2027, the device is activated, while still in an extremely damaged state. The signal from it flies around the entire planet several times, causing the activation of the code embedded in the DNA. For most people, the result is fatal.
There is a Crossout. Most of the cities are completely destroyed. Some people go through a partial transformation process and (as a result of becoming very close to the "Guardians" in strength) briefly gain limited ability to manipulate reality. They live, alas, for a very short time. But the Earth has time to fill with anomalies.
The governments of all major countries do not have time to respond to the threat. In the general confusion are those who decide to respond to the "attack" by launching nuclear warheads at the places where the "enemy" is supposed to be located. Explosions further exacerbate the situation: previously fertile lands are turning into "Wasteland".
2028 A.D. - 2031 A.D.[]
Global changes in climate, landscape and coastlines are taking place. The earth is sinking into anarchy. After the cataclysm, it turned out that those of the people who, having rejected civilization, turned to animal instincts, were much less exposed to the process of conversion, which means that many of them survived. This is how a decentralized, anarchic society emerged, where the right of the strong prevails and the concept of “morality” is absent - “The Lunatics”. Their gangs quickly occupied vast territories left without anyone's protection. Most of the time they spent either in raids on the settlements of the survivors, or in fights among themselves for a very conditional "leadership".
The corporation “Waderkvarn” is split into branches that have lost contact with each other. Only those who had access to suits that could protect a person from the signal succeed in surviving the Crossout. However, they still do not provide complete protection. Many of the scientists experience short bursts of "genius" that soon begin to drive them insane, deep into the Wasteland. Such people began to be called “gadgets”. They often left behind rare artifacts and complex inventions. Later, creatures appeared in the Wasteland, also constantly wearing a full costume and masks - the Drifter. Few of them could tell something about their past.
The largest of the remaining corporation subsidiaries, “Waderkvarn”, is reorganized into a faction known as “Children of the Dawn”. It did not include any of the top management of the company, but they had the technology for the production of suits, samples of experimental equipment, as well as scraps of information about the "Oracle project. Scientists led by Riley aim to find a way to roll back the changes caused by Crossout. For this, the search for the core of the AI of the Oracle project and its modules begins. The only one currently known is “Ravager”.
The remnants of the Neon Dragon Syndicate are being reorganized. With the help of the developed cyber-implants, they manage to compensate for the damage caused by Crossout. Mass cybernation is taking place in the ranks of the clan.
2032 A.D. - 2034 A.D.[]
A group of survivors, led by a man later known as The Mentor, stumble upon an automated production facility called, formerly a branch of Waderkvarn. After Crossout power on it was seized by Eva Linnholm, also known as Mother. He and the Mentor manage to find a common language, and as a result of their union a new force appears in the Wasteland - the Mechanics. ”And a narrow circle of leaders of the new faction soon became known as the Founders.
The production complex is rapidly moving to the creation of advanced weapons and armored vehicles. The Mentor turns out to be rich in ideas and quickly attracts new supporters. Due to their military and technical superiority, the Mechanics establish control over vast territories - where Europe once was. The faction set as its goal the creation of an "ideal world" at any cost. The merciless murders of the Lunatic gangs begin, all the inferior ones represented by the Nomads and ordinary Survivors who refuse to obey the new order.
2035 A.D. - 2040 A.D.[]
In Eastern Europe, a number of surviving military organizations manage to establish contact with each other and form an interim government. Their first common goal is to counter the expansion of the Mechanics, the threat from which is constantly growing. This association soon became known as the Brotherhood.
Around the same time in Western Europe, the leader of the Fire Worship gang, known as the Khan, began to unite the scattered gangs of the Lunatics. Thus, the Kaganate was formed. ... The power within him is held by the belief of the semi-insane raiders in the mystical powers of Khan and his shamans. And fear of them. Since the alternative to the Kaganat is imminent death at the hands of the Mentor and his Mechanics, many Lunatic gangs are rapidly becoming part of it.
2040 A.D. - 2043 A.D.[]
A direct war breaks out between the Mechanics and the Brotherhood. Taking advantage of the situation, the first is also attacked by the Kaganat. For several years, battles have been fought with varying success. The situation changes when the battle armored vehicles of the Wanderers enter the war against the Mechanics, unexpectedly attacking from the seemingly lifeless Wasteland. The combined forces of the three factions are gradually beginning to push the Mentor.
In 2042, the Wanderer named Ulysses manages to turn off the anomaly around the Burial Grounds before the corporation-owned Crossout Waderkvarn ” '. Thus, a huge area of the territory, later known as the "Valley," is not only accessible to all comers, but also suitable for agriculture.
By 2043, the Mechanics are finally defeated. Their industrial complex is completely destroyed. Eve Linnholm and her people manage to escape and even save some of the blueprints. The Mentor is also on the run, leaving the remnants of the Mechanics to their fate. His daughter Ivy Go becomes the new leader of the faction. She turns out to be incomparably softer and kinder than her father, which completely changes the ideology of the Mechanics. Disgruntled ones also appear, some of whom join the Founders led by Eva Linnholm, and some make attempts to find the Mentor . Everyone else follows Ivy Go in the recently available Valley.
2044 A.D.[]
The Kaganate and the Brotherhood are beginning to fill the power vacuum in the former territories of the Mechanics. Their relationship quickly becomes tense - both factions see each other as a threat. At the end of the year, a Lunatic squad led by Bey Scar discovers a path to the Valley. He manages to get all the way to the "" Burial Ground, "" where he discovers a dilapidated device, apparently capable of changing the weather in a limited area. Alas, it is not possible to study it in detail - the detachment is attacked by the Wanderers of Ulysses , who drive the Bey Scar away from The Burial Ground . He remains the only survivor. Returning to the Kaganate , Bey Skar comes into conflict with the Khan on the basis of its defeat, loses a limb and flees to the east, to the lands of the Brotherhood ...
2045 A.D.[]
In exchange for information about Khan, Kaganate and, most importantly, about Valley and Burial ground , Bey Scar receives a detachment consisting of from the supporters of the "Brotherhood" "not from the military. They were nicknamed The Scavengers . They collect useful parts and materials from any suitable source. Bey Scar leads the party to the Valley. Around this time, Khan dispatches several gangs under the leadership of Mad Pete to take over territory.
2046 A.D.[]
The beginning of the action of the game Crossout
There are constant clashes between Scavengers, Drifters and Lunatics, but there is no official war. The Mechanics are committed to protecting peaceful survivors while avoiding conflicts with other major factions. Soon, a kind of status quo is established. The Wanderers zealously defend the Burial Ground from any encroachment, but trade with the locals. The Scavengers are dismantling local factories and factories, settling in the Valley, and starting to send caravans with resources and parts to the Brotherhood. From time to time, raids are made to the , but without much success. The Lunatics are mainly engaged in raiding and robbery, which harms both the Travelers 'trade and the Scavengers' supply lines. All factions begin to try to recruit local 'Survivors (players)' 'to their service.
In the same year, the Valley was visited for the first time by the bollards led by Martin. The Bollards are eternal vagabonds with a passion for long journeys. They are guided by the image of the alluring Flanders' (conditional 'paradise') and the iron will of their leader, 'Martin' . They never stay in one place for a long time - after telling the latest news to those who are considered worthy, having sold the parts and values obtained during the campaigns, they move on.
2047 A.D.[]
Based on the data received from Bey Scar, the Brotherhood is developing a project to restore the weather conversion device found in the Burial ground and turn the Valley into a granary. `` Wasteland (and, first of all, the Brotherhood itself). To oversee its implementation and to put things in order in general, an elite unit of Steppenwolfs, led by Major Eric Stahl, is sent there. The first stage is the construction of the 'Roads' right in the 'heart' 'Burial ground' . The Scavengers start collecting materials, and the Brotherhood contacts the Founders to get them involved in this project.
A new side also appears in the conflict. The Children of the Dawn are reaching the Valley. ”Surprisingly, they just manage to establish contact with the“ Wanderers ”, and soon scientists gain access to“ The Burial Ground. ” And they also begin to help keep other factions away from him. In their ranks, however, there is a conflict. A scientist named Lloyd leaves their ranks, staging a little sabotage goodbye. A few months later, in the Valley, for the first time, groups of armored vehicles without drivers were seen. The Ravagers are activated.
The Valley is being visited again by the bollards.
2048 A.D.[]
Detachments of Fire Worshipers under the leadership of the Supreme Shaman Odegon arrive in the Valley. The Khan intends to extend the power of the Kaganate to the entire territory, as well as to occupy the Burial Ground himself, about which there are many rumors. From the fact that a powerful weapon is stored there, to the source of sacred power. Raids on Scavenger caravans are intensifying, and the Roads construction project is frozen.
The Knechts visit the Valley for the third time.
2049 A.D.[]
The activity of the Ravagers is increasing. In the Valley, people begin to meet who have lost their memory as a result of a collision with them. The Mechanics' are the first to react to the danger and initiate an investigation.
The Syndicate visits the Valley for the first time. The sortie ends in disaster after encountering a Ravager squad. Capturing only one clan member allowed through an implant to connect to all members of his squad, which made it possible to extract memories from everyone at once. The clan temporarily retreats and begins to monitor the situation from a distance.
The Knechts visit the Valley for the fourth time.
2050 A.D.[]
The Bollards visit the Valley for the fifth time, after which they are completely destroyed by the Crows.
The Mechanics, with the help of the Survivors, are destroying one of the major Ravine factories. Lloyd, who also took part in the battle, manages to lay hands on their technology and escape. The Wasteland, however, also contains a lot of parts from their wrecked armored vehicles. Soon, the Caligari circus arrives in the Valley, which, in addition to decorations and attractions, brings various parts based on the reprogrammed Devastators. 'The Neon Dragon Syndicate' learns of this and prepares a new large-scale sortie **. ** His leadership fears that if the technologies of the Ravagers' become widespread, they may be used against the clan itself ...
2051 A.D.[]
The Syndicate arrives at The Valley. The reason is the active spread of Ravager technologies among the locals. The task force is led by Skyblade, one of the Syndicate's lieutenants. After the briefing and initial reconnaissance, he seeks to meet with the 'Mechanics' who once collaborated with the Neon Dragon , hoping to get information from them about the 'Ravager core' and Lloyde. The meeting is tense, the Syndicate expected to meet the Mentor, not his daughter. The information received from them leads the squad to the "Clean Island", where they stumble upon the "Caligari". Having missed it, the Syndicate still obtains the coordinates of one of Lloyd's secret laboratories under the Ravager Foothold.
